The Immigration Paralegal will provide general immigration and corporate support to attorneys across multiple office locations and will interact with external clients as well as internal support staff. This role can sit in one of the following office locations: Charlotte or Raleigh, NC; or Charleston, SC. The primary responsibilities of this position include preparation and filing of a wide variety of non-immigrant and immigrant employment petitions, family petitions, visa applications, PERM labor certification applications, applications for adjustment of status, and applications for U.S. citizenship. Requirements: Minimum seven years of business immigration experience and a bachelor’s degree, or the combined equivalent of education and experience. Foreign language skills preferred. Proficient in preparing and handling a variety of employment-based non-immigrant petitions and immigrant petitions, PERM labor certifications, visa applications, and applications for adjustment of status. Extensive knowledge of immigration-based forms and documents. Competent in using document management systems. Experience with the INSZoom immigration system and iManage preferred. Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat. Experience using a legal time and billing system. Excellent communication and time management skills. Motivated, self-directed individual with ability to anticipate and resolve issues. Ability to prioritize work projects and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times.
