The essential job functions are: Advocate of behalf of employers in cases including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour matters and other labor and employment matters; Research and counsel clients on various issues, including employee leaves of absence, accommodations, labor relations and other labor and employment issues; Draft employment agreements, contracts, employee handbooks and policies; Play an active role in litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, reviewing and responding to discovery and taking depositions; Conduct Title VII and Title IX Investigations. Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Enough of a book to keep him or herself half busy; Ability to litigate; 8-10 years of experience in a law firm advocating on behalf of employers; Excellent writing, analytical, litigation and communication skills; Ability to work effectively with teams and independently, as well as manage and prioritize multiple projects; Ability to work with staff, attorneys at all levels, and firm clients successfully; Must be licensed or able to attain a license to practice law in the State of Ohio.
