What to Expect
The Global Compliance Counsel is a key member of the Global Compliance team in Tesla’s Legal organization. The attorney in this role will work closely with Tesla’s fast-paced business to comply with local laws and regulations and Tesla’s internal policies and procedures, support Tesla’s compliance culture, and ensure that Tesla employees conduct business in an ethical manner. Success in this role requires high energy, agility, a desire to learn, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, solid judgment, and strong collaboration and communication skills. This role will report to Tesla’s Director of Global Compliance.
What You’ll Do
<ul>
<li> Work closely with Tesla’s business to ensure our operations comply with relevant laws and internal policies and procedures</li>
<li> Recommend additions or updates to processes and controls when instance of non-compliance are identified</li>
<li> Conduct internal investigations, as needed, of potential violations of law or Tesla policy</li>
<li> Support third-party due diligence screenings to identify and mitigate compliance risks</li>
<li> Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs</li>
</ul>
What You’ll Bring
<ul>
<li> A Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school and a member of a state bar</li>
<li> 3+ years of legal experience with exposure to commercial transactions, litigation, and corporate compliance</li>
<li> Ability to work collaboratively and successfully with a variety of stakeholders throughout the Tesla business and corporate functions</li>
<li> A passion to address ethics and compliance challenges facing multi-national companies</li>
<li> Ability to work well both autonomously and collaboratively, and effectively manage and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment</li>
