Join us to <div> #IgniteYourCareer </div>! </div> <div></div> <div> Your role at Clorox: </div> <div></div> Reporting to the Vice President – Deputy General Counsel, this role provides Labor and Employment and Employee Benefits support company-wide. This position leverages experience litigating, counseling, and advising various clients on complex labor, employment, and employee benefits matters, manages outside counsel, and collaborates across departments to deliver strong results and manage overall risk. As department and business needs dictate, the role may also include the management and oversight of internal investigations in general civil litigation and regulatory matters. <div></div> <div> In this role, you will: </div> <div></div> <ul> <li> <div> Oversee investigations and preparation of responses to administrative charges and/or complaints filed with the DOL, EEOC, and various state and local civil rights agencies, including the supervision and management of outside counsel </div></li> <li> <div> Assist in developing, reviewing, and revising employee policies and procedures; partnering with ER/HR to ensure consistent application of company policies </div></li> <li> <div> Collaborate with risk and safety departments on matters ranging from workers’ compensation, accommodations, and workplace violence, as necessary and appropriate </div></li> <li> <div> Advise on all aspects of employment, including background checks, drug screenings, onboarding, discipline, sensitive terminations, performance management, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and other employee-related matters and issues </div></li> <li> <div> Advise on wage and hour related questions, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and Company policies </div></li> <li> <div> Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters regarding employment, labor, and employee benefits matters </div></li> <li> <div> Assist with other general litigation matters and internal investigations, including witness interviews, document reviews, and discovery responses </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> What we look for: </div> <ul> <li> <div> 7+ years as a practicing attorney with a broad range of relevant legal experience in labor and employment and/or employee benefits matters (experience in a top-tier law firm preferred, with additional in-house experience a plus) </div></li> <li> <div> Strong foundation of knowledge in specialized legal areas, including employment, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment, leave and accommodations, wage and hour, ERISA, HIPAA, service agreements, and other matters related to Employee Benefits and/or Labor and Employment </div></li> <li> <div> JD degree; top tier undergraduate and law schools </div></li> <li> <div> Member of the California State Bar (preferred) or member in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction with eligibility to practice under California corporate counsel rules </div></li> </ul> <div></div> <div> Workplace type: </div> <div> We seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area. </div> <div> – </div> <div> –Zone A: $138,100 - $277,400 </div> <div> –Zone B: $126,600 - $254,300 </div> <div> –Zone C: $115,100 - $231,200 </div> <div></div> <div> All ranges are subject to change in the future.
