<br> BlueRock Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated contracts attorney to join our Legal team. This role will provide contracting/legal support across our diversified pipeline, including R&D-stage cellular therapy programs and cross-program platform technologies. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, resourceful professional who thrives in an entrepreneurial, autonomous environment and is comfortable working collaboratively across different functions.

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities:</b></h3>
<ul>
<ul>
<li> Negotiate and draft a high-volume of specialized agreements to support the day-to-day operations of this growing biotech company, including license agreements, supply agreements, services agreements, material transfer agreements, research collaborations, consulting agreements, confidentiality agreements, and clinical trial-related agreements</li>
<li> Interface with internal stakeholders and external parties to set expectations, and to gather information necessary for contract drafting and negotiations</li>
<li> Contribute to the review, development, communication and implementation of contract policies and procedures</li>
<li> Participate in implementing and managing contract management tools and other technology adopted by the Legal group</li>
<li> Generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other documents for the Legal group, internal stakeholders and/or the senior management team</li>
<li> Act as the Legal group representative on cross-functional initiatives</li>
<li> Coordinate with, and escalate issues to, other legal team members as needed to ensure alignment with contracting standards and timeliness of established contracting activities</li>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></h3>
<ul>
<ul>
<li> J.D. from a national law school and admission to at least one state bar in the United States.</li>
<li> 2-4 years of experience representing biotech/pharma companies, either in-house or in the life sciences practice of a major law firm.</li>
<li> Demonstrated ability to have a team first mindset and work cross-functionally to support the company’s business goals, legal priorities, and compliance programs.</li>
<li> Capable of recognizing, assessing, and responding to time-sensitive matters with creative, practical, and clear solutions.</li>
<li> Ability to quickly distill complex legal and business issues, and effectively communicate key points to scientists, management, and external parties.</li>

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></h3>

<li> Experience in stem cell biology, immunology, cell therapy, and/or gene editing highly preferred.</li>
<li> Experience directly interacting with contract stakeholders and counterparties, including leading negotiations.</li>
<li> Experience with contract lifecycle management software. </li>
<li>Experience succeeding in a geographically dispersed work environment where frequent phone, video and email communication is standard.</li>
