The Corporate Group would like to hire one mid-level (3-6 years experienced) U.S. admitted associate with solid M&A and Private Equity experience with bilingual skills (English and Mandarin Chinese) to work in the Beijing Office. Attorneys in the Beijing office represent both Chinese and non-Chinese bidders and targets, financial investors, special committees and private equity sponsors in inbound and outbound cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, including share acquisitions and dispositions, asset acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures and going-private transactions. Some recent high profile deals include: Anbang Insurance Group Co., Ltd. in its US$6.5 billion acquisition of Strategic Hotels & Resorts, Inc. from The Blackstone Group L.P. A buyer consortium in the US$1.1 billion going-private acquisition of Trina Solar. A buyer consortium in the unsolicited, but subsequently agreed upon, US$3.3 billion going-private acquisition of Mindray Medical. The special committee of the board of directors of Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd. in its US$9.3 billion going-private acquisition by a consortium. This is the largest-ever going-private deal for a Chinese company listed in the United States. This transaction was named “Equity Market Deal of the Year” at the 2016 Asian Legal Business China Law Awards and one of China Business Law Journal’s 2016 “Deals of the Year.”
