Patent Agent / Attorney – Atlanta Office SGR is seeking an experienced patent agent/attorney with a biology, biochemistry, chemistry or molecular biology graduate degree for an established and well-respected patent practice. This impressive group of practitioners has been steadily expanding as they continue to attract sophisticated work from a wide range of clients. The focus of the work will primarily relate to the preparation and prosecution of U.S. patent applications and corresponding with foreign associates to guide the prosecution of foreign applications for complex and highly valued patent portfolios, while also supporting practice needs in other related areas (e.g., patentability, infringement, validity, and freedom to operate opinions and related analysis; portfolio strategy and management; due diligence). In particular, associates are entrusted with substantial client interaction and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patent Agent Requirements: Minimum MS in a biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or chemical engineering, with a preference for a Ph.D.; must have strong organic chemistry expertise.
