What can you expect? The Costs team is made up of one Partner, two Costs Lawyers, Associate and Costs Draftsperson. Emma-Kate Hargreave who heads up this team is a Costs Lawyer working on contentious matters covering a variety of practice areas including Commercial Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property & Technology, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence, Public Regulatory and Property Litigation. This Senior role is aimed at somebody who has significant experience dealing with high value and complex personal injury and clinical negligence cases. Responsibilities: Preparing inter parties bills of costs – traditional and electronic format Preparing breakdowns for negotiation Preparing Precedent H costs budgets and dealing with costs management process including Precedent R discussion reports and Precedent T revisions. Preparing estimates in support of Allocation and Pre-Trial questionnaires Risk assessing and preparing Points in Reply Preparing N260 forms (Statement of Costs) Assisting Head of Costs with day-to-day activities and tasks as required Working with other Cost Lawyers, Cost Draftsman and Fee Earners internally Up to date with relevant case law and rules and provide supervisory assistance. Ability to carry out training, articles and blogs.
