Job Description: Mayer Brown’s derivatives practice was most recently named Americas Law Firm of the Year (Overall) and US Law Firm of the Year at GlobalCapital’s 2023 Global Derivatives Awards. Previously, Mayer Brown was named Global Law Firm of the Year (Overall) at the 2019 GlobalCapital Derivatives Awards. The practice has also previously won in the European Law Firm of the Year categories and the US Law Firm of the Year categories for both our transactional and regulatory work. We are currently seeking a Derivatives Associate with three to six years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with derivatives regulation (i.e., the CEA and CFTC and SRO rules) and derivatives enforcement and investigations, with respect to matters involving swap dealers, futures commission merchants, commodity pool operators, and commodity trading advisors. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, be intellectually curious and resourceful, and have excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and firm attorneys. The NY salary for this position for the class of 2021 to 2018 is $260,000-$390,000, although the actual salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s skills and experience level are different from those specified below.
