The Philadelphia, PA office of Chamberlain Hrdlicka seeks an Associate with 2-4 years of federal tax controversy experience. This position will work directly with the Tax Controversy & Litigation Department Practice Group Leader, as well as the Managing Shareholder for the Philadelphia, PA office. This is an excellent opportunity for a growing Associate to advance in their career. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with federal tax controversy disputes, including audits, appeals and litigation, as well as experience with substantive federal income tax issues; corporate and partnership experience a plus. The ideal candidate also will have law firm, accounting firm, IRS, Tax Court, and/or Department of Justice (Tax Division) experience. A degree in accounting, CPA license, or LL.M. in Tax is helpful but not required. Candidate must have excellent academic and employment credentials with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form with strong attention to detail. Successful candidate has ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as within a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staff. Must be admitted to practice in at least one state (Pennsylvania a plus). Relocation assistance is offered for this position.
