Experience in public, private, and charter schools, as well as higher education is ideal. Daily work includes transactional employment work, including advice and counseling; student privacy and discipline; federal and state regulation; special education processes and proceedings; review and drafting of school policies and procedures; labor relations, bargaining, and grievances; litigation and administrative proceedings for schools; and school related business and financing. Candidate must be able to juggle multiple matters/issue and be strategic and detail oriented. Successful candidate must have superior academic credentials, excellent writing skills, and be admitted to practice in New York.
