Made up of smart, perceptive Googlers with a flair for domestic, international, and sales and use tax, the knowledge and expertise of this team runs deep. You have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. While we don't give our Googlers individual tax advice, you make it easy for Googlers to get what they need to make good tax decisions. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating our tax processes and systems, and find ways to be both innovative and compliant.</p> <p>The International Tax Planning team is a talented group of technical tax planning professionals who manage a wide variety of tax planning issues for Alphabet and Google, helping accelerate business objectives and managing interesting and impactful tax technical issues for the company.</p> <p>The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.</p> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$275,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google. </div> </div> <div> <h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b> Responsibilities</b></h2> <ul> <li>Research tax rules and regulations, and apply tax rules to business facts. Draft memoranda and other communications to communicate key tax issues to management and other tax team members.</li> <li>Assist with implementation of legal transactions to support business objectives, including providing international tax advice on distributions, intercompany loans, and other funding activities.</li> <li>Advise on special/ad hoc technical projects and assist with other international tax related projects as necessary. Liaise and coordinate with local finance and legal teams, and manage external service providers.</li> <li>Assist with the design and review of processes to meet technical tax requirements. Assist with audit inquiries and presentations.</li> <li>Assist with quarterly and year-end international tax provision and compliance processes.
