<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText"><div> <p><b>Summary </b></p> <p>The National Football League is seeking a transactional attorney who will be responsible for a broad range of media-related deal and advisory support. This is an exciting opportunity to help support the NFL’s own media operations and to help advance the League’s media strategy. Strong candidates will possess an understanding of distribution and licensing models as well as development and production issues, and will have experience in reviewing, structuring, and drafting content-related agreements. </p> <p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p> <ul> <li>Negotiate, structure and draft domestic and international license agreements across traditional and emerging platforms (e.g., broadcast and cable television, digital and social media) </li> <li>Draft, negotiate and review various production-related contracts (e.g., talent agreements, vendor agreements, footage licenses, appearance releases) </li> <li>Deliver ongoing analysis and day-to-day legal advice in connection with a wide variety of media-related agreements as well as strategic and operational issues </li> <li>Provide additional legal and business affairs support as needed in connection with media-related projects and initiatives </li> </ul> <p><b>Required Qualifications </b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree from accredited 4-year university/college and J.D. from accredited law school </li> <li>3+ years of experience in a transactional legal role at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a media/entertainment company </li> <li>Strong drafting experience in the content space, preferably focusing on development/production issues and/or distribution/licensing models </li> <li>Established proficiency with complex agreements and high volume of issues and projects </li> <li>Valid membership (in good standing) in New York state bar </li> </ul> <p><b>Other Key Attributes / Characteristics </b></p> <ul> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills </li> <li>Organization, efficiency, and attention to detail </li> <li>Comfort in a fast-paced, high-volume workplace environment </li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage diverse projects simultaneously with multiple stakeholders </li> <li>Proven success tackling new challenges and collaborating with others </li> </ul> <p><b>Travel </b></p> <ul> <li>Occasional travel required </li> </ul> <p><b>Salary / Pay Range </b></p> <p>This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range.
