Description:
<p> Rapidly growing law firm specializing in the representation of condominium and homeowner associations is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience for litigation position to handle eviction actions, debt collection process and small claims litigation. Qualified candidates must be licensed in Illinois. Litigation, trial, and/or debt collection experience preferred. Knowledge of and experience with the Illinois Condominium Property Act and the Illinois Eviction Act preferred.</p>
<p> The ideal candidate must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Must be comfortable working independently yet be a team player. Must be able to efficiently manage multiple projects and exercise good judgment in dealing with highly confidential matters.</p> Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of Community Association Governing Documents (Declaration, Bylaws, Rules and</li>
</ul>
<p> Regulations) as well as the Illinois statutes pertaining to them</p>
<ul>
<li>Responsible for eviction and debt collection process on behalf of homeowner and condominium associations and Landlords</li>
<li>Responsible for drafting, finalizing, and filing documents related to Condominium, Homeowner, and Townhome Associations and Landlord-Tenant matters</li>
<li>Familiar with motion practice and discovery procedures</li>
<li>Perform legal research and draft discovery and motions</li>
<li>Experience handling jury trials is a plus</li>
<li>Knowledge of post-judgment procedures also a plus</li>
<li>Travel throughout the Northern Illinois area required</li>
<li>Work with multiple clients</li>
<li>Timely follow-ups on various, related tasks</li>
<li>Participate in all Continuing Legal Education trainings</li>
<li>Any other duties as necessary or required</li>
