Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together.</p> </div> </div> <p></p> <p><b> How you will Achieve More with Intellia:</b></p> <p></p> <p> We are looking for a legal partner to Human Resources (HR) and company managers who will take a leadership role as an integral part of the legal team, reporting to the General Counsel. This attorney functions as a key strategic advisor to HR and serves as a critical link between the business functions and the legal function to enable business objectives while protecting the integrity of Intellia and its values. The attorney identifies and implements methodologies for improving compliance with employment laws, domestically and globally, in a fast-paced and fast-growing diverse company. With Intellia growing rapidly and having remote and hybrid workers in many locations, the attorney must be resourceful, creative, and flexible to build for the future.</p> <p></p> <p> This position requires superior legal expertise, crisp assessment of legal risks, and an ability to provide practical guidance on risk management. It requires a flexible and collaborative partner who can work independently in a dynamic environment.</p> <p></p> <p> Key Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li><p> Provide practical, sound, risk-based, and business-oriented legal counsel regarding state, federal and foreign employment law issues including hiring, retention, performance management, discipline, terminations, discrimination, accommodations, leaves of absence, immigration, conflicts-of-interest, pay and benefits, and DEI initiatives.</p></li> <li><p> Coordinate and liaise with multiple internal stakeholders and manage outside counsel to efficiently address employment-related matters.</p></li> <li><p> Advise executive leadership and Board of Directors on employment related matters, including supporting the Board’s Compensation Committee.</p></li> <li><p> Collaborate on development of HR policies and procedures domestically and internationally.</p></li> <li><p> Advise on internal investigations.</p></li> <li><p> Manage and support resolution of employee claims.</p></li> <li><p> Lead and assist in developing and improving legal compliance projects and trainings.</p></li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> About You:</b></p> <p></p> <p> We are looking for an experienced JD with 10+ years prior experience handling employment matters and providing strategic advice to HR partners. Industry experience is preferred.
