RMG is seeking a partner or senior associate-level tax attorney with experience working independently and collegially with other counsel on sophisticated transactional matters, including real estate transactions and M&A matters. Portable business or ongoing relationships with clients is preferable, but not required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience in partnership tax matters and hands-on experience that includes structuring transactions (such as 1031 exchanges) for maximum tax benefits to reviewing, drafting, and negotiating entity formation documents, operating agreements, partnership agreements and other joint venture agreements. The candidate has demonstrated an ability to work on multiple matters and evidence a strong attention to detail, with excellent drafting and organizational skills. Finally, the candidate must have the ability to negotiate effectively and forcefully for our clients, while also being congenial with opposing counsel, colleagues and clients.
