Job Description Summary DLA Piper is seeking a highly skilled associate with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our Phoenix office. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial litigation with demonstrated expertise in legal research, superior writing and analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage a multi matter docket. The ideal candidate may have 2 to 4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on the following sectors: healthcare, medical device, pharmaceutical, technology, software, sports, travel and hospitality, finance, and real estate. Requirements: Candidates must be licensed and reside in Arizona Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Arizona State Bar with 3-4 years of litigation experience. Admission to the California State Bar in addition to Arizona is preferred, but not required. Strong background in commercial litigation matters with a focus on the above-mentioned sectors. Excellent research skills and superior writing abilities, with attention to detail. Previous state court or federal clerkship experience is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. All candidates must provide a cover letter, resume, transcript, and a writing sample not substantially edited by anyone other than the applicant. Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
