A successful candidate for this position will be a practical, commercial-minded attorney with a strong background in commercial aviation financing, including operating leasing and aircraft trading transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES Heavy drafting and negotiating of complex documents/contracts for domestic and international aircraft financing transactions Frequent, direct interaction with clients and with opposing counsel Provide trusted, informed and practical legal guidance to clients on a wide range of transactional and legal issues Team-oriented approach with the attorney candidate sometimes being the lead and responsible for the transaction and the team bellow and other times working as part of a team supervised by a partner Mentoring more junior attorneys and paralegals REQUIREMENTS Experience in a wide-range of domestic and cross-border commercial aviation financing, including lending/borrowing, operating leasing and aircraft trading Relevant transactional drafting and negotiating experience Organized, excellent communication skills (internally, client-facing and opposing counsel-facing) and team-oriented Demonstrated ability to manage others Ability to balance problem-solving and “closing” mindset with the need to protect the company 6-9 years of transactional experience and 5 years of aircraft financing experience For consideration, please submit your resume and cover letter to sknight@sgrlaw.com.
