The firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Food & Agriculture practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience as an associate in a law firm with a strong foundation of transactional business law experience. Regulatory experience, real estate law experience, and some litigation experience also desired. This position will include a mix of regulatory, transactional, and litigation work, including permitting, licensing, formation of business entities, drafting agreements for purchase and sale, and making appearances before various state and federal agencies, as well as litigation of matters concerning the Administrative Procedures Act, agency licensing, and administrative penalties for a variety of growers, packers, processors, and grocers. Associate salaries are based on years of experience and bonus consideration is given for productivity and/or performance. Must be a current, active member of the California State Bar Association. The successful candidate will have a distinguished academic record from a nationally recognized, ABA-accredited law school and have exceptional research, writing and verbal communication skills.
