<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText"><div> Overview: <div> Searching for a seasoned commercial attorney to support Celanese businesses, functions and initiatives throughout the Americas. Primary reporting line is to the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, Acetyl Chain, with close collaboration with other members of legal department and senior business leaders. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> We’re looking for the right lawyer to join our tight-knit legal team. This person should have a long-term interest in growing with a respected, established, and successful company. Although direct commercial experience with an industrial client would be great, we expect this individual to learn just about everything they need to know by working closely with the other lawyers in our group and our internal clients. </div>Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Provide general commercial advice and legal support to sales and sourcing commercial business partners.</li> <li> Provide general legal advice and counsel regarding antitrust, trade compliance and other compliance issues as appropriate.</li> <li> Conduct commercial contract, negotiation and compliance training sessions.</li> <li> Assist in other departmental projects, including driving contract excellence throughout organization.</li> <li> Client-focused, so must support and facilitate business while driving functional excellence.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <div> <b> Qualifications</b> </div> <ul> <li> Juris Doctorate</li> <li> 5-8 years’ experience negotiating commercial agreements, with at least 3 years of top-tier law firm experience. In-house experience in chemical or industrial field is preferred but not required.</li> <li> Strong written and oral communication skills - ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and concisely.</li> <li> Detail and results oriented, self-starter who can handle multiple tasks.</li> <li> Strong leadership ability, self-motivated with strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.</li> <li> Comfortable in a high performance environment that is open, honest and ethical, where teamwork and hard work are expected and individual achievements are rewarded.</li> <li> Outgoing personality, willing and eager to engage directly with business partners.</li> </ul> <div> <br> </div> <div> <b>Desired Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</b> </div> <ul> <li> Extensive experience drafting and negotiating supply agreements and sales agreements.</li> <li> Ability to add value through creative problem solving and skillful application of legal knowledge with an orientation to create revenue while minimizing costs.</li> <li> Familiarity with antitrust laws.</li> <li> Experience with project management, post-M&amp;A integration, joint ventures and industrial site services agreements preferred</li> </ul> <div> <br> </div> <div> <b>Success Factors that are required for success in this position:</b> </div> <ul> <li> Executing for Results</li> <li> Organizational Culture Fit</li> <li> Functional / Technical Skills</li> </ul> </div></div>
