<p>onsemi is seeking a mid-level intellectual property attorney with experience in outbound patent assertions and IP licensing to join the legal department’s IP monetization and litigation team located in Scottsdale, Arizona.<br> <br> </p>
<p>Key Duties and Responsibilities </p>
<ul>
<li>Develop an intimate understanding of onsemi’s patent portfolio and the key technology areas relevant to onsemi and its competitors </li>
<li>Review technical analyses for various integrated circuit products (including, e.g., image sensors, power semiconductor products, and power management products) to analyze the strength of potential patent claims against such products </li>
<li>Prepare claim charts relating to usage of onsemi’s patents by other companies, and develop and execute assertion strategies using onsemi’s patent portfolio </li>
<li>Analyze and defend onsemi against patent assertions made by others </li>
<li>Participate in a wide variety of contentious IP matters at every stage of the dispute from initial analysis through to trial and appeal</li>

<li>Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering </li>
<li>Juris doctorate from an accredited law school </li>
<li>Admission to at least one US state bar and to the USPTO </li>
<li>5 - 10 years of experience in IP disputes, including substantial experience asserting patents against others </li>
<li>Experience in <i>inter partes </i>reviews, as both a patent owner and a petitioner </li>
<li>Broad knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and digital integrated circuits, and familiarity with semiconductor device physics and semiconductor manufacturing technologies </li>
<li>Excellent English communication skills</li>
