DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul> <li> This position will supervise discovery matters in railroad litigation, including general claims, and other disputes.</li> <li> Should be knowledgeable in the following areas of law: discovery, including e-discovery and related motion practice, Federal Employers Liability Act, grade crossing litigation, trespasser claims, occupational claims, toxic tort, indemnity and insurance.</li> <li> Assist with development of defense strategies for BNSF.</li> <li> Duties also include supervision of Outside Counsel; liaison with General Claims Department; development of trial strategy and tactics; preparation of witnesses for deposition, responding to subpoenas, motions to compel and demands for indemnity; and other litigation matters.</li> <li> Provide legal advice / consult on records and information retention issues as it relates to litigation.</li> <li> This person will also perform other litigation-related duties as assigned.
