<p>The Nebraska Department of Justice / Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is currently seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Attorney General ("AAG") in the Office's Agriculture, Environment, and Natural Resources Bureau. Salary commensurate with comparable state agency positions and candidate experience. <p>The AAG will provide legal counsel and litigation representation to assigned state agencies including the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy, the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.</p>

<b>Qualifications / Requirements</b>
</div>
<div>
<p>REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an ABA accredited law school and a license to practice law in Nebraska, or clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion; Minimum at least one year of experience in a private law firm or government agency or at least one year as a judicial clerk. Excellent legal writing skills, prior prosecution experience and demonstrated work ethic.<br> <br> PREFERRED: Judicial clerkship experience. Three or more years of civil litigation, appellate advocacy or criminal prosecution experience. Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the relevant position.<br> <br> OTHER: Some travel required.
