We put our players first, know our business partners' goals and emphasize problem-solving by being innovative, nimble and taking smart risks.</p> <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, and driven IP and marketing attorney to join our team. You will report to Senior Counsel, IP &amp; Marketing and support EA's global IP and marketing practices to help deliver upon EA's mission to be the world's greatest games company.</p> <p>You may be based at our offices in either Redwood City, California or Los Angeles, California. You are an attorney with interest and experience with trademarks, copyrights, and advertising law, and is a highly motivated self-starter, who is inquisitive and has a passion for video games and technology.</p> <p><b>Role Responsibilities</b></p> <ul> <li>Draft or review drafts of cease-and-desist letters, takedown notices, and coordinate enforcement solutions with EA's business teams and partners.</li> <li>Support the government affairs team on IP &amp; Marketing policy issues; represent EA's interests in trade association agenda and efforts in the area of IP enforcement.</li> <li>Oversee IP enforcement vendor and marketplace platform relationships.</li> <li>Oversee IP processes such as EA's copyright registration and IP permission request process with the support of IP specialists.</li> <li>Maintain central tools and processes/resources for EA's Approvals team, including disclaimers and legal notices.</li> <li>Develop and implement written guidance on EA's IP, content, advertising and promotions policies and practices.</li> <li>Support Approvals associates as needed, including reviewing marketing and advertising materials for content clearance, messaging and disclosures, and preparing contest and other promotion rules.</li> <li>Conduct other legal research or projects as needed.</li> </ul> <p><b>General Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Practicing attorney with 3-6 years of experience in the areas of intellectual property law and/or marketing law, in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.</li> <li>JD and admission to the California State Bar.</li> <li>Experience working with paralegals is a plus.</li> </ul> <p>#LI-Hybrid, #LI-Onsite</p> <p>#FlexibleWork</p> <p>US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p> <div> The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. <br> <br> EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. <br> <br> BASE SALARY RANGES <br> <br> <ul> <li>California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):</li> </ul> ยบ $113,300 - $171,700 <br> <br> Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees.
