Description
L&E FINRA Arbitration Counsel (Atlanta or California) Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a leading AmLaw 100 firm with offices throughout the US and abroad, is looking for an employment litigation Counsel to join its Financial Services Employment Arbitration practice team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of significant experience representing financial-services industry clients in FINRA arbitrations or related matters, with working knowledge of associated person and registered representative disputes. Strong familiarity with the FINRA arbitration process required. Candidates will work from a virtual/remote office, including from home, but with access to our local offices, and travel to the local Seyfarth office will occasionally be required. The Counsel role is designed for a lawyer who does not presently seek to be in a partner-track position, and who seeks a more flexible work arrangement. Top law firm experience preferred, and excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required. We offer a collegial environment and an excellent opportunity to continue to develop strong skills and grow with an international firm that has a high national profile in complex employment litigation. The candidate must be admitted and in good standing in the state bar of the resident office. Our premiere Labor & Employment Department is the largest and most dynamic of any full service firm in the country with over 400 attorneys firm wide, and is consistently ranked at the top in labor and employment law rankings across multiple practice areas in the United States and internationally. Chambers USA nationally ranks Seyfarth as Band 1 in Labor & Employment, and we are one of only three firms that have been ranked by The Legal 500 in all six national Labor & Employment categories. In January 2018, Seyfarth Shaw was named by Law360 as "Practice Group of the Year" in Employment Law for the seventh straight year. Our employment litigation capabilities have earned us recognition in the annual BTI Litigation Outlook as a “Standout" Employment Litigation Practice, and our Labor & Employment Department continues to be recognized regionally nationally and internationally by others such as U.S. News & World Report: Best Lawyers, The National Law Journal, and BTI Consulting Group. These awards reflects our pre-eminence in L&E for outstanding work, impressive strategic growth, and excellence in client service. Seyfarth, an international law firm with more than 900 attorneys, provides comprehensive training for our associates through our mentoring programs, CLE initiatives, industry credentialing, and hands-on learning by working side-by-side with our partners. We invest in our associates to advance in their careers by providing opportunities for substantive client contact as well as significant involvement in case strategy and management. Seyfarth builds leading professionals by supporting speaking engagements and publishing opportunities. Seyfarth is proud to be an influential leader in diversity. The firm has been recognized for ten consecutive years in the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
