Troutman Pepper’s Consumer Financial Services practice group is seeking an Illinois barred Career Attorney to join our team. Ideal candidates will have 2 to 5 years of litigation experience. Consumer finance experience is preferred. Experience with the following is a plus: • Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCPA) • Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) Candidates must have strong academic and professional credentials. Candidates must be located in a state where Troutman Pepper has an office, be admitted and actively barred in the state in which they live and also be actively barred in Illinois. Admissions to other bars a plus. Troutman Pepper’s Consumer Financial Services practice focuses on a wide range of issues involving consumer finance and privacy laws, including bank and non-bank consumer lenders, credit reporting, background screening, fair housing, debt collection, credit repair, auto finance, mortgage lending and servicing, online lending and payment processing. The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $160,000, dependent on years of experience and geographic location.
