Clyde & Co seeks a highly motivated attorney with 3-4 years of litigation experience. The position primarily involves representation of international and domestic insurers with regards to all manner of liability policies, including commercial general liability, excess liability, D&O liability, employment practices liability, professional liability, and environmental liability, as well as first-party property insurance policies. The position may also involve defense of commercial litigation matters, primarily in the areas of product liability, premises liability, and transportation. The opportunity is suited to someone who thrives within a busy, stimulating and fast-paced team environment, and has a strong interest in working on complex insurance coverage litigation matters. The attorney will be ideally located in Dallas-Fort Worth, but we will consider candidates who reside anywhere within Texas. Responsibilities and requirements Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients; Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda; Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence; Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties; Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required. Education and Experience Admitted to practice in Texas; 3-4 years of litigation experience; Complex insurance coverage litigation experience is a plus; Federal court experience. Skills and Abilities Required Excellent legal research, writing and verbal communication skills; Strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature; Ability to handle time sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects; Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
