We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Patent Agent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for strategizing, drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications worldwide. You will work closely with our R&amp;D teams to ensure that our patent strategies align with product development and commercial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the chemical industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a large and active patent docket effectively.</p> <p></p> <p><b><br> What you will do:</b></p> <ul> <li> Patent Prosecution &amp; Defense: Strategize, draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide, and navigate patent file histories to challenge and/or defend patents of interest</li> <li> Patent Analytics &amp; Management: Develop expertise in patent analytics, docket management tools, and database searching to support R&amp;D and the patent team</li> <li> R&amp;D Collaboration: Attend and participate in R&amp;D meetings to identify new innovations, integrate with R&amp;D teams, and advise on patent strategies</li> <li> Invention Analysis: Analyze invention disclosures to assess patentability and collaborate with R&amp;D partners to obtain additional data for new patent applications</li> <li> Legal Support: Assist the lead category attorney in patent clearance studies, third-party patentability assessments, litigation support, and due diligence projects</li> </ul> <p><b><br> Required qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li> Bachelor's Degree Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biochemistry, pharmacology or Organic Chemistry</li> <li> Patent bar admission</li> <li> At least 3 years experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications</li> <li> Experience managing a large global patent portfolio and effectively maintaining/managing a large patent docket</li> <li> Excellent oral communication and presentation skills, including conveying complex patent concepts to various audiences</li> <li> Team oriented, energetic, able to multitask, motivated with the ability to prioritize work and deadlines, contribute and participate in developing and updating organizational training programs</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b><br> Preferred qualifications:</b></p> <ul> <li> Experience in the chemical industry</li> </ul> </div> <p><b><br> Compensation and Benefits</b><br> Salary Range $115,200.00 - $150,000.00 USD<br> <br> Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location.
