<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText jobsearch-JobComponent-description css-kqe8pq eu4oa1w0"><div> <p><b>Role: </b>Senior Corporate Counsel </p> <p><b>Location: </b>Telecommuting/remote from within the United States </p> <p>The Development and Engineering Legal Team within Oracle's legal department is responsible for providing legal support for all of Oracle’s software development and hardware engineering organizations worldwide. The team works closely with Oracle Development executives to complete agreements between Oracle and its strategic software and hardware suppliers and to evaluate and provide legal advice with respect to inbound software licensing, open source, AI/ML, etc. Counsel coordinates the efforts of various internal organizations to ensure that Oracle contracts and software licenses comply with company policies, and takes a leadership role in defining policies, practices, and procedures within the company. </p> <p>As an individual contributor in the team, you will join a collaborative group of attorneys with an interesting and diverse technology law practice. This position is best suited to an attorney with a significant IP background, and commercial negotiating and contracting experience who has the ability to handle a variety of tasks, evaluate alternatives quickly, and provide top quality legal assistance and support to executive-level clients. Someone who can quickly make a significant contribution to the group is critical. </p> <p>This job description may not represent all the duties of the position. The Corporate Counsel may be asked to perform other related duties, as needed. People from Corporate Counsel to Managing Counsel level will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: </p> <ul> <li>4+ years of relevant legal experience that includes experience with inbound software, data licensing issues, Open Source, and AI/ML in a technology company. </li> <li>Open Source licensing and AI/ML use are important. </li> <li>Bar certified, in good standing, in a state in the US. </li> </ul> <p>Does this sound like you?
