THE OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking an attorney with 5+ years of commercial litigation experience in New England state and federal courts to join our Boston office. Comprised of more than 150 litigators and trial attorneys throughout the US, our team works with clients in all industries to address virtually every type of complex business dispute. This breadth of experience means deep insight into the effective arguments, examinations, and themes that resonate in the courtroom. At the same time, ensuring our services hit the mark often means avoiding traditional litigation. In those situations, our team guides clients through alternative dispute resolution, arbitration processes, and settlement strategies as soon as disputes arise. THE DAY-TO-DAY: Seyfarth Shaw LLP is a leader in promoting innovation in the delivery of law firm services to its clients. This Counsel/staff attorney role is designed to be part of a client service team and ideal for a lawyer who does not presently seek to be in a partner-track position, but wants to continue providing top-quality legal representation for a select group of national clients with a defined volume of matters. YOU HAVE: 5+ years of commercial litigation experience in New England state and federal courts Significant experience representing lenders, banks or other financial institutions in consumer financial services litigation and mortgage foreclosures, ideally with related bankruptcy experience. Attorneys located in Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Rhode Island will be considered.Admission in Rhode Island and/or Connecticut is a huge plus, although ultimate admission/waiver into Massachusetts will be required.
