We are seeking an eDiscovery Counsel with at least 5 years of eDiscovery experience to join our Houston, Austin, Dallas, or Washington, D.C. office. The eDiscovery Counsel will be a member of the firm’s Disputes Technology & Services practice group and will have responsibility for (a) providing substantive legal advice concerning electronic discovery issues, including all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), to the eDiscovery team, case teams and clients, (b) developing defensible strategies for eDiscovery collections, processing, culling, searching, and productions, (c) interfacing with opposing counsel and tribunals regarding eDiscovery issues and disputes, (d) advising clients regarding records management and data governance issues that relate to or impact the discovery of electronically stored information (ESI) in disputes proceedings, and (e) interfacing with opposing counsel and tribunals regarding eDiscovery issues, nuanced ESI Protocol drafting, and related disputes. The eDiscovery Counsel is expected to work effectively with the eDiscovery team to provide the full range of eDiscovery services to disputes teams and clients and to be a thought leader within the firm on eDiscovery and data governance issues. For positions based in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker Botts L.L.P., the salary range is $185,000 to $215,000.
