The Washington, DC office of Fisher Phillips seeks an experienced employment litigation associate with 3-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be a case handling attorney with significant experience in federal court. Qualified candidates will be comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, as well as taking and defending depositions. Candidate must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, a desire for excellence, commitment to and empathy for their fellow team members, and a relentless commitment to growth and client service. Successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Typical day-to-day opportunities include working as part of a team handling litigation matters from start to finish, including responding to pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, arguing motions, and participating in mediations. You will work with clients on various challenges under state and federal employment laws, drafting & revising policies, training, and similar activities. Must be admitted in DC and Maryland, or eligible to waive-in; Virginia admission is a plus.
