Join Holland & Hart’s Renewable Energy team and be part of the clean energy transition! We work on cutting-edge wind, solar, geothermal, hydrogen, and battery storage projects across the country. Watch this video to see the kind of work you would get to do. Our clients have been involved with renewable energy development and finance for nearly two decades, and they continue to push the boundaries of renewable, sustainable and green projects, technologies and services. We also work with conventional energy producers as they shift from fossil fuels to clean energy sources. Developers, investors, borrowers, corporate buyers, and utilities involved in developing, financing, buying, selling, and managing renewable energy projects trust us to handle their sophisticated projects and value our experience and expertise as we deliver creative yet practical solutions. Here’s What You Can Expect • Work with clients at the forefront of the clean energy industry on first-rate projects from Alaska to New York. • A young, dynamic team of lawyers who have worked for more than a decade building an impressive and loyal client base. • Well-being and flexibility are important to us. Choose where you work (remote, hybrid, in-office) and hours that allow you to take care of yourself, your family, and your clients. Live your full life. • Diversity also matters to us. 83% of our partners and 66% of our team members are women. • Hands-on experience and ownership of work from day one—yes, you’ll work directly with clients. • Real mentorship and training from experienced partners who are truly invested in you and your professional growth. • A three-tiered career progression approach designed to prepare you to become a business owner/partner if that’s your goal. Our levels approach allows you progress through levels at your own individual pace rather than a “lock-step system,” and we do not have an “up or out” policy. If you’re not interested in partnership, there are also career pathways for attorneys to become strong, technical lawyers. • Frequent feedback, including clearly defined core competencies and benchmarks so you know what is expected of you. Position requirements Ideal candidates will have 2 to 7 years of law firm experience in project development, finance, mergers & acquisitions, and commercial contracts. Experience working in the renewable energy industry and experience with power purchase agreements, company or asset purchase and sale agreements, hedge contacts, equipment supply contracts, construction contracts or similar agreements is preferred but not required.
