<div></div> Join Fresenius Kabi's Medical Technologies Division as an Intellectual Property Counsel.

<br> Support the global Intellectual Property (IP) function for the MedTech group within Fresenius Kabi. This position reports to the VP & Chief Counsel, Legal & IP, MedTech.

Responsibilities
</div>
<div></div>
<ul>
<li> Provide counsel and support an entire range of intellectual property issues, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, licensing, and IP litigation matters.</li>
<li> Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications.</li>
<li> Conduct right-to-use and patentability searches and analysis related to new products and features.</li>
<li> Provide support for IP litigation, reexaminations, interferences, and nullity/opposition proceedings.</li>
<li> Draft and negotiate IP licenses and other IP-related agreements, including development, collaboration, and confidentiality agreements.</li>
<li> Provide support for trademark matters, including filing and prosecuting new applications, conducting right-to-use investigations, and assisting with branding and labeling questions.</li>
<li> Work closely with R&D and other functional legal leads to fully support the needs of each product line.</li>

<br> Requirements
</div>
<ul>
<li> Juris Doctorate from an accredited University; ideal candidate will have a BS in Science, Engineering or related field</li>
<li> Must be a member in good standing of the bar of any state and registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office</li>
<li> 5-8 years of relevant practice</li>
<li> Demonstrated expert knowledge and command of IP law</li>
<li> Significant IP experience in patents, trademarks, trade secrets, litigation, copyrights, and IP-rich areas of law, ideally with experience in developing and managing an IP portfolio</li>
<li> Outstanding oral written communication skills, the ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, the ability to create and implement solutions, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the business and legal organization</li>
