Reporting directly to the Chief Legal officer and SVP, the Vice President – Lead Auto Line Attorney will play a pivotal role as an advisor on Auto Line of Business legal matters, guiding company policy to reflect legislative changes and statutory compliance. This role will be highly visible with senior management and customers as you navigate and solve complex, cross-functional challenges. <br> Responsibilities <ul> <li> <br> Provide counseling, advice and thought leadership with respect to the auto insurance line of business. </li> <li> Work closely with business teams to review and advise with respect to new products and technologies in the auto line of business. </li> <li> Serve as the lead lawyer to the Personal Auto Lines Executive </li> <li> Maintain awareness of and provide advice with respect to pertinent legislative and regulatory developments impacting the auto line of business. </li> <li> Help to drive and support engagement with pertinent regulators </li> </ul> <br> Qualifications: <ul> <li> JD or Law Degree is required. </li> </ul> <ul> <li> 15+ years of experience in Corporate legal department including significant experience in and comprehensive knowledge corporate, labor, and automotive law. </li> <li> Outstanding verbal and written communication skills </li> <li> Strategic judgement and excellent problem-solving capabilities </li> </ul> Benefits At GEICO, we make sure you have the support and resources to leverage and develop your skills, secure your financial future, and take care of your health and well-being. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.
