Negotiable; commensurate with education and/or experience, if approved. </div> </div> <div> <b>Examples of Work</b> </div> <div> <div> Examples of work: <br> <ul> <li>provide legal advice and support to agency information technology personnel related to security, privacy and compliance;</li> <li>investigating and analyzing potential data security or privacy incidents;</li> </ul> providing guidance on mitigation or remediation efforts; provide legal support for security and privacy impact assessments; <br> <ul> <li>develop and implement security and privacy policies, including reviews of programs and processes, policies, plans, and procedures and ensuring agency compliance with state and federal law;</li> <li>assisting with and advising on internal compliance reviews and monitoring activities related to data; programs and processes, policies, plans, and procedures and ensuring agency compliance with state and federal law; and</li> <li>reviewing and advising on contracts, data sharing agreements, and standard operations procedures involving security and privacy matters.</li> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <b>Qualifications / Requirements</b> </div> <div> <p>REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited school of law and admission to the Nebraska Bar.</p> </div> <div> <b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b> </div> <div> <p>Ability to: interpret and apply statutes, case law, decisions of court/administrative hearings, and administrative rules and policies on a variety of legal issues; effectively communicate and interact with legal associates, other government employees, and the public; conduct legal research; formulate legal opinions and recommendations based on legal research; identify critical elements of legal questions or issues; and use a computer for word processing and research.</p> </div> </div> </div> <br> <p></p> <div> <div> <div> <div> We offer a comprehensive package of pay, benefits, paid time off, retirement and professional development opportunities to help you get the most out of your career and life.
