The incumbent provides confidential legal and policy advice in the areas of privacy, data governance, and information law, to include the Bureau's confidential information regulations and applicable provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act, as well as FOIA, PRA, application of privileges ranging from the deliberative process to bank examination, ECPA, and Right to Financial Privacy.</p> <div> <h4 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Responsibilities</b></h4> <p>The following are the duties of this position at the CN-71, broadly equivalent to the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As an Attorney-Advisor, specializing in privacy and information law, you will:</p> <ul> <li> Independently research and analyze relevant complex Federal and state laws, regulations, Executive Orders, OMB and other government-wide directives and memoranda. Leads teams of junior staff in the execution of such matters.</li> <li> Counsel clients, including senior executives, with respect to legal compliance, litigation risk, and other issues.</li> <li> Plan, research, and analyze legal issues arising from policy options and CFPB procedures.
