Our Litigation Department of more than 170 lawyers across the firm’s global platform offers a full-service litigation practice, with specific practice areas in commercial litigation, consumer financial services litigation, product liability, bankruptcy, class action defense, construction, eDiscovery, government contracts, trade secrets, computer fraud and non-competes, intellectual property, and securities. THE DAY-TO-DAY: As an IP Counsel in the Litigation Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration other IP lawyers. YOU HAVE: Extensive experience in patent litigation matters; litigation experience in other intellectual property litigation matters, including trademark and copyright infringement would be helpful, but not required. Responsibilities will include: initial case evaluation, development through trial, and supervising junior team members and staff Demonstrated trial skills in a first chair role Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills Engineering or similar science degree is required Admission to the USPTO and admission Texas Bar or the ability to waive into the Texas Bar are also required WHAT WE PROVIDE: We provide competitive salary and benefits at all levels.
