The Employment Law department at Berliner Cohen is actively recruiting for an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of litigation experience for our San Jose office. The ideal applicant will have experience preparing responsive pleadings, engaging in motion practice, responding to discovery or administrative charges as well as counseling clients - whether it be for employment law or some other area of law. In addition, they should have experience with case management, propounding and responding to discovery, depositions and preparing cases for trial. Familiarity with wage laws, leave and compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), policy development, compliance training and managing pre-litigation disputes is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess a strong academic background, a proven track record of strong performance and measurable results with exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.
