Essential Job Requirements: Minimum 2 year as a practicing attorney Ability to work productively with autonomy as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment. 2-4 years civil litigation experience and preferably professional liability or construction defect practice areas. Experience with insurance defense matters and meeting billing guidelines. Admission and good standing with the South Carolina Bar. Strong organizational skills with the ability and desire to manage multiple priorities and caseload. Experience handling all aspects of litigation prior to trial including preparing pleadings, written discovery motions and attending depositions and mediations. Trial experience not required but should be highlighted if applicable. Required Education & Professional Licensure Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in South Carolina Preferred Skills 2+ years’ experience in professional liability or construction defect defense or similar litigation experience Able to work independently and with a team with strong attention to detail along with the ability to take a defense litigation file from the Answer to trial. Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify risk with strong understanding of all applicable ethical duties. Ability to work effectively with clients and the desire to represent them in working towards a satisfactory outcome. Strong organizational skills. Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
