<p><br> We are hiring a critical team member to join Edifecs’ Legal team. You will play a vital role in Edifecs’ growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong in-house experience in healthcare software transactions and supporting the procurement needs of a technology organization.</p>
<p> The successful candidate will be ready to navigate a growth-oriented, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment. This person will be comfortable juggling multiple tasks under tight deadlines and must be a strong writer and communicator throughout the organization. A passion for personal accountability and setting high standards is essential for success.</p>
<p><b><br> What you will do:</b></p>

<ul>
<li> Review and negotiate Procurement Contracts, BAAs, flow-down terms, and support on special projects that meet Edifecs’ requirements under its policies, including those for risk tolerance, while working collaboratively with the business teams.</li>
<li> Strong experience drafting original legal provisions outside of form documents, which includes the ability to identify legal issues independently.</li>
<li> Healthcare privacy experience including the ability to review Business Associate Agreements</li>
<li> Collaborate and partner with IT, services, product, security, and other business units at all levels throughout the organization to ensure that customer contracts adequately protect Edifecs’ interests.</li>
<li> Support the continuous improvement of standard forms of agreement and legal processes.</li>
<li> Be a trusted business partner, responding in a timely and productive manner to requests from internal stakeholders.</li>
<li> Counsel internal stakeholders regarding company policies, legal issues, and risk tolerance.</li>
<li> Assist with special projects as needed.</li>
</ul>
<p><b><br> What you will bring:</b></p>

<ul>
<li> JD Degree and active admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction where you reside is required.</li>
<li> At least 5 years relevant experience at a major law firm and/or in-house, including negotiating technology agreements, particularly for On-Prem, SAAS, PAAS and IAAS solutions. </li>
<li>Proven proficiency in leading negotiations for customer facing software, cloud contracts, and procurement contracts (contractor agreements, marketing engagements, IT software vendor contractors)</li>
<li> Ability to translate complex legal concepts into timely, clear, concise, and business-focused legal advice for internal stakeholders.</li>
<li> Expertise in IT procurement and a proven track record in managing vendor contracts, including experience supporting HR and Marketing procurement requests highly preferred. </li>
<li>Familiarity with the HIPAA and changing landscape of US Privacy laws is required. A CIPP designation is preferred, but not required.</li>
<li> Commitment to customer service (yes, our internal stakeholders are also our customers) and meeting the needs of internal stakeholders.</li>
<li> Self-starter and ability to manage change within a fast-paced organization.</li>
<li> Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li> Excellent at multitasking and managing competing priorities with little supervision.</li>
<li> Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgement, and demonstrate business acumen.</li>
