<div id="jobDescriptionText" class="jobsearch-jobDescriptionText"><div> <div> <div> <p>Description du poste</p> </div> </div> <div></div> <div> <div> <div> Summary: </div> <div> Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (“CACIB”) is seeking an experienced attorney to join the Litigation, Enforcement, and Investigations Unit of the Legal Department in New York. The Litigation Counsel will be responsible for managing a broad range of litigation and investigations, many with a cross-border aspect, as well as responding to subpoenas, government inquiries and other requests, and providing pre-litigation advice to internal business clients. The Litigation Counsel will develop overall strategy and manage multiple matters in a self-directed and efficient manner, including, where necessary, by overseeing and partnering with outside counsel. The Litigation Counsel will work closely with colleagues in other departments, such as Compliance, Distressed Assets, and Human Resources, and will review and revise policies, procedures and practices to mitigate and minimize business risk. The Litigation Counsel also will work closely with IT and IT Security on projects and committees regarding security governance, data sensitivity, record retention and destruction, and cybersecurity. In addition, the Litigation Counsel will apprise senior management and internal business clients of litigation and investigation developments. The Litigation Counsel must have the ability to work independently on multiple litigation or investigation matters, and to develop a pragmatic and business-oriented plan for the management and resolution of these matters. </div> <div></div> <div> <br> Key Responsibilities: </div> <ul> <li>Evaluate legal actions, subpoenas, government inquiries, and information requests received by CACIB and its affiliates.</li> <li>Analyze overall strategy for litigations and investigations and develop a plan for their management.</li> <li>Manage document collection and discovery processes, including with respect to electronically-stored information, and issue and monitor legal holds.</li> <li>Oversee and direct outside counsel, review pleadings and motions filed on behalf of CACIB and its affiliates, and attend court hearings and depositions.</li> <li>For internally-managed matters, handle all aspects of the litigation or investigation process, including negotiation of settlements where appropriate.</li> <li>Conduct internal investigations, whether initiated by CACIB or in response to government or external inquiries, prepare investigation memoranda and provide guidance on appropriate courses of action.</li> <li>Advise internal business and support function clients, including those in international offices, on litigation and pre-litigation matters, performing legal research and analysis as necessary.</li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues in the Compliance, DAS, IT, IT Security, Risk/Permanent Control, Finance, Audit, and Human Resources departments.</li> <li>Attend internal committee meetings as a legal advisor; spot issues requiring Legal input and counsel accordingly.</li> <li>Assist with internal and external reporting obligations.</li> </ul> <div></div> <div> <br> Salary range: $170,000 - $225,000 </div> </div> </div> </div> <div></div> <br> <div> <div> <div> <ul> <div> <div> <div> <div> Critères de candidature </div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <ul> <div> Niveau d'étude minimum </div> <p>Bac + 5 / M2 et plus</p> </ul> <ul> <div> Formation / Spécialisation </div> <p>Bachelors and Juris Doctor (or the equivalent) degrees from reputable, accredited institutions Licensed to practice law in New York and a member in good standing of the New York bar<br> At least 5-7 years of litigation experience in government, law firm, or in-house legal department</p> </ul> <ul> <div> Niveau d'expérience minimum </div> <p>6 - 10 ans</p> </ul> <ul> <div> Soft skills </div> <p>Essential·Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills·Experience with document collection and discovery·Experience drafting pleadings and motion papersExperience in advising clients on litigation and pre-litigation matters·Capacity to delegate·Capacity to cooperate / work across discipline·Capacity to understand and support the strategy of CACIB and participate in actions to deliver Desirable·Experience with depositions·Experience in negotiating settlements.·Experience in responding to subpoenas and requests for information·Experience in regulatory and enforcement matters, including interviewing witnesses and conducting internal investigations</p> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <div> <div> Entreprise Crédit Agricole CIB </div> </div> </div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> <div> A propos de Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (Crédit Agricole CIB) Crédit Agricole CIB est la banque de financement et d'investissement du groupe Crédit Agricole, 10ème groupe bancaire mondial en taille de bilan 2021 (The Banker, juillet 2022).
