To find out more please visit www.ashurst.com. The Opportunity: As a result of a growing pipeline of work our Corporate Transactions team is looking to hire a Lawyer to join our team in Sydney. Our Corporate / M&A practice has the strength, depth, sector knowledge and jurisdictional reach to provide the highest quality advice on all aspects of corporate transactions. Clients’ receive a truly comprehensive service on structuring, managing and executing public and private M&A transactions. From due diligence to dealing with regulators, we have it covered. Our market-leading M&A lawyers are also backed up by some of the best in market regulatory, competition and tax specialists, as well as a range of other legal disciplines. Advising bidders, targets, sellers and financial advisers, our advice covers all types of public company M&A including schemes and takeovers as well as private treaty M&A including asset acquisitions and divestments, joint venture arrangements and restructures. This includes advising on some of the largest, most complex and strategically significant corporate transactions in Australia and internationally through our Ashurst network, as well as those of a smaller nature. Our lawyers are well-regarded for being commercial, practical, easy to work with and responsive. More information on the role and team can be found in the Job Description attached to the role on our website www.ashurst.com/en/careers About You: To succeed in this role you will need: 3+ years’ corporate experience gained within a top-tier firm, mid-tier firm or by a combination of private practice and in-house; Ideally regulated M&A experience; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Superior drafting ability; A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively; Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills; The ability to be team-focused and also work independently; and A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and, a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
