Carlton Fields is seeking a Paralegal for the Intellectual Property Practice group of the New York office. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Arrange filings, mailings and effecting service for matters in NY and NJ Federal and state courts, government agencies and other parties; Conduct research in Westlaw, Bloomberg and other legal databases; Conduct research in Relativity and other discovery management tools; Assist with the organization of client materials and attorney work product, including computer-based technology, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and Ability to work with other practice groups in other firm offices. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be able to read, write and speak English; Strong organizational and time management skills to meet billable goal of 1600 hours without overtime; Advanced knowledge of all MS Office applications; Ability to file documents in both Federal and state courts; Advanced Adobe professional and Adobe Acrobat; Strong analytical skills; Strong research skills; Expertise in Relativity; Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and meet deadlines; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Candidate should possess: Bachelor’s Degree (requirement) Minimum of five to ten years’ experience working in a law firm Carlton Fields is an equal opportunity employer, and does not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, or conditions of employment on the basis of race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status protected by applicable laws.
