Job Description: Williams Mullen is seeking a litigation associate with 3-5 years’ experience to join our successful litigation group in our Richmond, VA office. This is a great opportunity for an associate who seeks a positive career trajectory, direct client interaction, business development experience, significant responsibility on complex matters, and a chance to work closely with senior partners on a fast-paced team. Job Requirements: 3-5 years’ experience managing a case load from inception through to trial and litigation experience in State and/or Federal Court including deposition, drafting motions, discovery requests, and trial preparation and support. Knowledge or experience with economics, marketplace trends, business strategy or other business acumen. Ideal candidates will demonstrate aptitude to strategically plan; strong negotiations skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time well. Must be meticulous with details and able to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters involving direct client interaction. Successful candidates will also possess a drive for excellence and have the resilience to take initiative to find creative solutions to complex needs. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Superior academic credentials and entrepreneurial spirit highly preferred. Judicial clerks strongly preferred. Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive into Virginia, or be a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
