Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a Special Counsel to join the Finance team in the Dallas office. Strong candidates in Houston, Chicago, New York, and Washington D.C. will also be considered. The Finance and Bankruptcy practice of Sheppard Mullin has been a key element of the firm’s practice since its founding over 90 years ago. As part of a large, broad-based commercial law firm, our commercial lending and financial transactions team is comprised of attorneys specializing in all facets of financial transactions. We bring a team of fully engaged advisors with the legal and practical problem-solving skills necessary to execute the most complex of financial transactions. This role will have direct client contact and will have many opportunities for business development, training and team management. The group’s clients consist of financial institutions, private debt finds, mezzanine funds, and private equity funds. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the following areas: Representing lenders or private equity sponsors in private credit or bank lending transactions Executing finance transactions and credit agreements Qualified applicants must be admitted to practice law in the appropriate state.
