Skadden’s IP & Technology Transactions team in Palo Alto is seeking an outstanding junior associate who has a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for intellectual property, technology, cybersecurity, and privacy issues. A technical background in engineering or the sciences is helpful, but not required. This is a unique opportunity to join a premier Bay Area transactional practice and become a key team member in high profile, innovative transactions across various industries and deal types, as well as gain direct exposure to clients. Our attorneys counsel on virtually every type of intellectual property transaction, including negotiating and drafting numerous licenses and alliance agreements and handling a wide variety of matters that relate to the creation, use, licensing and transfer of information technologies. We also provide intellectual property support in conjunction with mergers and acquisitions, IPOs and financings. Beyond an understanding of intellectual property matters and the science and technology underlying them, our attorneys understand the business models used by our clients to maximize the value of these technologies, and we seek to create or add value to their intellectual property and technology portfolios.
