Job Title: Senior Associate, 4+ years experience Team: Property, Energy and Construction Location: Singapore Role Kennedys Legal Solutions is looking for a Senior Associate with 4+ years’ experience in international dispute resolution, including arbitration, preferably within construction, property and energy, to join our Singapore office. The Property, Energy & Construction team handles a combination of advisory and contentious work in relation to some of the largest insurance and reinsurance claims in the region and also pursuing recovery claims. The successful Senior Associate will have experience of: Advising insurance sector clients on large and complex speciality claims across property, construction, engineering and energy product lines; International dispute resolution in respect of construction contract disputes and/or industrial product defect claims which sit beneath the insurance programmes on which we advise; or A combination of a) and b). Recent examples of our work include losses and/or recovery in Japan, France, China, Korea, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Macau SAR and Spain, and equipment manufacturers in arbitrations under ICC, LCIA, SIAC rules and in the courts of Japan. Experience of insurance work is preferred but not required, but the successful Senior Associate will be able to deal with cross jurisdictional legal analysis which frequently requires consideration of the law and practice of multiple jurisdictions. Both partners are ranked in band 1 for Insurance/Reinsurance in the Chambers & Partners directory. The team in Singapore is part of the wider Kennedys Global Insurance Team with lawyers in various offices across our global network. Our lawyers are regularly required to work with our colleagues in other jurisdictions. We also encourage all of our lawyers to build relationships with our clients at all levels and candidates should expect significant client contact.
