Share Bressler, Amery & Ross, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, seeks a mid- or senior- level (4+ years of experience) Fiduciary/Business Litigation Associate for our Florham Park, NJ office. The Fiduciary/Business Litigation Associate will assist several seasoned principals in managing a fast-paced and varied caseload, and will assist in matters before the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York. Subject matter of the practice includes advising corporate and individual fiduciaries and beneficiaries; prosecuting and defending fiduciary accountings; will/trust/beneficiary challenges; will and trust construction/interpretation disputes; “corporate divorce”/business and partnership breakups; adult guardianships; will and trust reformation; injunctions and other equitable relief; and commercial litigation. Job responsibilities include: Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings. Work closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategy for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings. Provide guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations. Remain current with changes in the law; understand a variety of disciplines involved with cases being defended. Outstanding research and analytical skills, written and oral advocacy, combined with strong interpersonal skills, are critical. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school. Member in good standing of the NJ state bar, NY state bar admission a plus. Knowledge of fiduciary and business law and specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Judicial clerkship experience in Probate/General Equity is a plus. Strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues. Ability to appraise, interpret and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems. Must be able to concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing. Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.
