Join us and make a difference.</p> <p></p> <p> The Counsel, Commercialization &amp; Development Law role will support and partner with the Company’s Global Medical organization, including executive-level colleagues, on new and innovative initiatives and solutions to better serve patients. A key function of this role will be identifying legal risks and providing thoughtful, comprehensive and practical legal advice on a wide array of issues. The role will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues in the Global Medical organization, as well as the broader Law Department.</p> <p></p> <p><b> Key Responsibilities and Major Duties</b>:</p> <ul> <li> Anticipate and proactively identify legal issues and provide clear, operational and effective legal advice that supports informed decisions and applies an enterprise view</li> <li> Collaborate across the Law Department matrix to ensure delivery of seamless, comprehensive legal advice.</li> <li> Deliver effective presentations to Law Department and Business Units.</li> <li> Lead and organize functional or substantive working groups assessing significant legal issues.</li> <li> Leverage knowledge of emerging legal and industry issues and trends to inform advice and address potential legal risk.</li> <li> Lead simplification of policies, procedures and guidance affecting business activities.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><b> Requirements</b></p> <ul> <li> Education: A law degree from a US Law School.</li> <li> Knowledge: Broad knowledge of healthcare law, including advertising and promotion, anti-kickback and bribery laws, regulatory policy, and contracts.</li> <li> Experience: At least four years of legal, regulatory and/or compliance experience, preferably with a law firm that advises companies in highly regulated industries or in-house at a pharmaceutical or biotech or medical device company. Successful experience in cross-functional interactions is required.</li> <li> Skills: Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across the business and within the Law Department. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under deadline pressure. Flexibility to work on a broad range of matters.
